Hot Wassail

Printable Recipe

Boil 2 cups of sugar in about 1 quart of water for 5 minutes. Turn off the heat and add the following, wrapped in cheese cloth:

8-10 allspice berries
2 whole cinnamon sticks
10 cloves
1 piece of ginger, scored

Let it all set for about 1½ hours.

Add:
2 qts apple juice
12 oz of orange juice, mixed from concentrate
6 oz of lemonade

Heat and serve hot.
